Crypto-to-bank is where most platforms stop being useful: they support the countries with big card markets and treat everywhere else as an edge case. The rail map is the edge case's answer - M-Pesa clears in Kenyan shillings on a phone number, PIX in Brazilian reais in seconds, UPI in Indian rupees to any VPA, and none of them care where the value started.
This guide walks value from a crypto balance to a local rail, and covers what to know about limits, timing, and the markets where a pegged token is the practical bridge.
Every step, in order.
The payment-methods directory lists every rail with its countries and currencies; the by-country directory shows what clears where you are. SEPA covers 20 countries; M-Pesa, PIX, and UPI are single-market but dominate their markets.
The sell flow converts your crypto into the asset the rail settles: often a USD stablecoin for card-and-SWIFT rails, or the local-currency peg where one exists - cNGN for naira, MXNB for pesos, XSGD for Singapore dollars.
Sell through the rail to your registered account. Each rail page states what it needs: an IBAN for SEPA, a phone number for M-Pesa, a VPA for UPI, a CPF-bound account for PIX.
Rails settle on their own schedules: PIX and UPI in seconds to minutes, SEPA same-day to one business day, SWIFT one to five. The order view shows the rail's status in its own vocabulary, not a generic spinner.
Rail settlements produce bank-grade references - UTR numbers, SEPA end-to-end IDs, M-Pesa confirmation codes. Download them; they are your reconciliation and your tax paper trail.
The deep trick in this map is the pegged token. Where a currency has thin banking but a live peg - naira via cNGN, peso via MXNB - the on-chain leg does the cross-border work and the local rail does the last mile, which is usually cheaper and always faster than correspondent banking. The rankings by peg families show every token in every family with its currency page attached. Limits and KYC belong to the rail, not to crypto: M-Pesa caps follow your Safaricom tier, UPI follows your bank's NPCI limits, PIX follows Brazilian central bank rules. The rail is regulated infrastructure and behaves like it. What the crypto leg changes is the shape of the corridor - value moves as a token to the peg, then exits through an ordinary domestic transfer, and nowhere in that path does a foreign correspondent bank take a week and a percent.
