1. Controller and contact

U.CASH Inc. is the controller of personal information processed through the Services. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected], or write to us at: U.CASH Inc., legal/privacy, c/o our contact address published on the Contact page. Where the GDPR requires a representative, or a data protection officer for large-scale processing, we will identify that contact on this page.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all U.CASH apps and websites (pay, swap, buy, names, agents, verify, send, portal, ai, una, uantum, status, and u.cash itself) and to the personal information of visitors, registered users, merchants, agent operators, and developers using our APIs and SDKs. It does not apply to third-party services we link to, such as payment processors, decentralized exchanges, or Unstoppable Domains, which have their own policies.

3. Lawful bases for processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we process personal information only where we have a lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR:

Lawful basisExamples of our use
Performance of a contractCreating your account, processing your requests, providing the app features you asked for.
Legal obligationKeeping records to comply with tax, AML, or sanctions obligations that apply to us.
Legitimate interestsSecurity, fraud and abuse prevention, network integrity, and product improvement, balanced against your rights.
ConsentNon-essential cookies and analytics, marketing if you opt in, and certain optional features.
Vital interestsProtecting someone's physical safety in rare emergencies.

4. Information we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. The categories we may collect include:

  • Account information: email address, display name, and password hash when you register.
  • Wallet address: the public address of a wallet you connect or configure. This is a pseudonymous on-chain identifier.
  • Transaction metadata: details needed to display and verify activity you initiate, such as links you create, payment identifiers, and confirmation status. We do not custody the underlying funds.
  • API and developer data: API keys (hashed), request volume, and usage logs when you use our developer tools.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, browser type, and similar data in server logs, for security and reliability.
  • Support data: information you choose to include when you contact us.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.

5. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Services and the features you request.
  • To verify transactions, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the integrity of the network.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including sanctions and AML record-keeping where they apply to us.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and material changes to our terms.
  • To measure and improve performance and reliability (with non-essential analytics only on consent).

6. Important: U.CASH is non-custodial

We never hold your private keys, seed phrases, recovery phrases, or funds. We cannot see or recover them. Any on-chain activity associated with your wallet is recorded on a public blockchain that we do not control; this policy covers only the personal information we process on our own systems, not public ledger data.
