What is Fiat on-ramp?

A fiat on-ramp is the bridge from traditional money to crypto: card or bank in, token out. It is where almost everyone enters, which makes its fees, settlement speed, and coverage the first experience a network gives.

Ramps differ in what they accept (which cards, which banks, which countries), what they deliver (which assets on which chains), and what they charge for the crossing. The partner-ramp model keeps the merchant out of custody entirely: the ramp delivers to the buyer's own wallet.

U.CASH's partner ramps serve the major assets card-to-wallet across regions, and the swap covers everything else: any asset you hold converts to any asset you want, non-custodial, in one signed transaction.

Fiat on-ramp: FAQ

Why are some assets not card-buyable?
Card coverage follows the ramp partners' lists. Tokenized stocks, for instance, are not card-buyable anywhere: the swap from an asset you hold is the on-ramp for them.
What does an on-ramp cost?
Partner ramps price per transaction and show the fee before confirmation. The swap alternative carries a flat, transparent fee with no spread games.
